Advancing Bioeconomy in Slovenia and Beyond – BIOLOC Quadruple Helix Workshop

BIOLOC Quadruple Helix Workshop: Advancing the Bioeconomy in Slovenia and Beyond

This week, our Slovenian partner from BIOLOC successfully hosted a Quadruple Helix Workshop in Slovenia in collaboration with CEE2ACT, BIOEAST, BOOST4BIOEAST & BIOINSOUTH Projects , bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, innovators, and researchers to explore new pathways for a sustainable circular bioeconomy. The workshop served as a key platform to discuss challenges, opportunities, and collaborative strategies to accelerate the transition towards biobased and circular solutions.

Key Insights from the Workshop

  • Collaboration is essential to drive innovation and navigate uncertainties in the bioeconomy sector.
  • Sustainable biomass management and climate adaptation must be prioritized to ensure long-term resilience.
  • The circular bioeconomy is a key enabler of sustainable growth, offering economic and environmental benefits.
  • Innovation is already happening, but policy support, incentives, and infrastructure are needed to scale up adoption.

The discussions from this workshop mark a crucial step toward developing a Bioeconomy Action Plan for Slovenia, laying the foundation for further initiatives at both national and European levels.

Moving Forward Together

BIOLOC is committed to strengthening collaboration across sectors and countries to create a resilient and competitive bioeconomy. This event demonstrated the power of cross-sector engagement in shaping policies, technologies, and business models that support sustainability and innovation.

We extend our gratitude to all speakers, participants, and organizers for their valuable contributions and look forward to continued cooperation in driving the future of circular bioeconomy in Slovenia and beyond.
